Born in Hamburg in 1997, I hold a bachelor's degree in English/American Studies and Political Science from the University of Hamburg and did journalism training at ifp Munich. I hold

I have been working for Der SPIEGEL since 2018 and became an editor with the German politics desk in 2025. Since 2022 I spend part of the year in Athens where I work as a freelance correspondent for various German outlets.
I write mainly about politics and international relations in Greece and Southeast Europe, migration, and the consequences of climate change in the region. Ocassionally, I also write about football, sailing and the million-dollar business behind it.
